An Interesting Quiz

Take a moment and read this. It is a very sobering topic, but one that we have to keep fighting for: The Right of Human Life! So please read this, pass it on and most of all keep praying for our country and that this horrible act will cease for ever in this nation.

How would you respond in these situations?

1. A preacher and his wife are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she’s pregnant with the 15th. They’re living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she’s pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?

3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she’s now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She’s not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he’s upset. Would you recommend abortion?

In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists in the 19th century.

In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.

In the third case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ!

God is the author of life, and He has given every single individual supreme value. Each life—whether inside or outside the womb—should therefore be valued by us. God knows the plans He has for each individual and has written in His book all the days ordained for us before one of them came to be. When we presume to know better than God who should be given life, we are putting ourselves in the place of God and are guilty of idolatry.

Hay, thanks to all of you that left your comment! I have enjoyed thinking of things that I want to post....but it always happens when I am doing something else and cannot post at the moment and than I forget it! In our family that is called "Youngtimers" very kin to "Alzheimer's" but only happens to the younger generations. :) (our family is a classic case of yountimers, we have it in abundance. :)

My week is hectic already and it is only Tuesday. We are leaving for Fort Worth Thursday morning early, as we are selling a pen of heifers at the Stock Show. Dad wants to leave around 5 am, that is going to be something to see, getting this family of 9 up and off with 2 trailers going South at that ungodly hour! I am a firm believer that it should be illegal to have to get up before the sun comes up. But unfortunately we live in a fallen world and things like that do happen. So I just have to learn to live with it and totally relish sleeping in!!!! What a treat. :) I am excited to be in Cowtown. I love the Stock Show! I get to see my dear friend Sarah Calhoun and also my grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. I really hope that the heifers sell well. We have tickets to 2 perfs of the rodeo and all of us will enjoy that. Also a big thing that we are going to try to do is go Ice Skating!!! I probably should take my video camera, because I know there will be many hilarious stunts pulled by my brothers and I must say, myself. Last time I went it was very hard for me to um, let go of the rail. :)

It is cold outside....I pretty much have been living in jackets all year. The cold does get a little old at times, but I just keep reminding myself that it is moisture and we will have a great spring! Agriculture does give you a different perspective on things. :) But I must say, we have mud! Our road is very muddy and my car looks like I went muding, I actually was just getting home. :) RA and Myles did go muding Saturday in RA's truck...I opted to just stay home and not risk getting stuck. I really am a conservative person and I do not try things that might have the risk if turning out in unfavorable conditions.
Well I have some Animal Science Homework that I need to study seeing as the class is at 10:50.
Take a moment and enjoy your circumstances, you might as well because you really cannot change them, just change your state of mind. Look for something fun and laugh....you'll be glad you did and so will everyone around you!

Classes....

Equine Science, Animal Health, American History, Book Reviews, Animal Diseases, History of Horse Breeds, Exploration of the New World, Bacteria & Spores,
Protestant History in Europe....that is just a few things that I have learned today in class. I just got out of my history class a few minutes ago. I am learning so much in it about early history and many of the "why things happened". My teacher Mr. McNair is a very interesting fellow. I am really the only one in my class that knows very much about history. Or if they do, they do not participate in class. Many of them do not want to be there as they do not believe that they will benefit from history in their lives. I think that is a very sad state of mind to be in. If you do not study history you will repeat it, usually the mistakes. During the first day of class a couple of weeks ago he asked me where I went to high school as I knew more than the avg. high school student. I said I was home educated. Needless to say he was happy that I was in his class. :)

My early mornings are all ready getting old, but I have many more weeks to go...I still will not like waking up early. I have to leave the house by 7:15 am to be able to make it to my 8:00 class. This late to bed, late to rise person has trouble with that!!!!:) But I'll live and it will probably benefit me in the long run...:(

I want to put some pretty pictures of all the snow on my blog, but I am having computer problems at home and can only post here at school. So I do not have my pictures with me, but will work at that.

I have so many things to do before I can go home...gym, grocery's, braums....the list goes on. and it is now 4:00 pm. Eldest daughters have many things they have to accomplish now that they are graduated. :)

I hope all of you stay warm in the cold 2007 winter. We have have over 10" of snow on the ground and the ranch is so pretty layerd in white! :)

First Post

Hello. Today I finally did it, I created a blog spot. :) I look forward to posting things that are currently going on in my life. My 2007 year is turning out be even more interesting than my 2006 year was! I am looking forward to the Ride that God is planning for me, and am waiting for future directions to come in his due course. This semester has me still at home with my family, and attending Frank Phillips College in Borger Texas. Today I am at my second day of classes in my second semester of my Freshman year here at FPC. (what a sentence...a little on the confusing part... but, be that is it may:) So far I think I will really enjoy this semester, I am now a full time student instead of a part time like last year. :) My AG classes are going to be fun, as you can tell from my blog name...I Love agriculture! It is a fascinating industry that is changing daily to meet this needs of our changing society. I also am taking a History Class that is going to be a challenge but, I need to have challenges from time to time! Keep me on my knees!!!

My Father has been teaching me many things through theses last months of trials. This last year I have been having health problems that I cannot seem to get rid of. But I know that God does not give me more than I can handle. I am striving to be CONTENT in all of my circumstances, but that has proved to be very hard at times. I must admit! :) Though I must say that Jesus has given me a peace, and through out all of the testing and things I am confident in my Father's will and plans for my life and this is just a stepping stone.

I am going to leave you with a song that I lean on many times for comfort, and that I say when I am feeling down....
