.:FYI:.

Today I was blessed to buy a little boy named "Isaac" a Christmas present. I ran in Wal Mart for a minute and saw the Salvation Army Angel Tree, stopped and looked and when I saw a four year old named Isaac, I had to buy him something.=)
I saw when I left the package that the deadline for the boxes is December 8th and that is coming up fast, so if you feel lead to donate some of your time and money to bless a young person in need you might need to get around to it here in the next few days.

Clothes, jacket gloves and a childrens bible cost me a little more than $50, and I have to say it made my day!

"For it is true that it is more blessed to give than to recieve!"

~ An update on me ~

Hello everyone,

It had been a while since I have updated on what all I have been up to lately. I have been posting what has been happening in my walk with the Lord, and what has been on my heart the last few weeks, but not the ends and outs of my every changing and ever hectic life. =)

Where to start, well lets see; life here on the ranch and in the Brown family has been going by so fast lately. Little Ike will be 2 1/2 on the first, he is my angel, my little man, the person that keeps me laughing and also keeps me busy cleaning up after all of his messes. I am the most blessed big sister in the world to have in my life Isaac Wade. Being 17 years older than Ike brings a whole new perspective to little ones. Everyone says that when you have children, that is when you know what real love is, I really cannot imagine a love any stronger than what I feel for him! He is talking up a storm, and his new thing is telling stories of when he was a baby! Isaac means laughter and that is what he brings to our life each and every day.

My other brothers are really not little any more, I realize that at the strangest times. When I am upset at them and have to look up to tell them something! :0 "um, I am not near as mad at you right now, your so nice..." No not really. =) Each one is special in their own special way. Mom and I ordered our Christmas cards this year from Shutterfly instead of me designing them myself. (I enjoy designing them, but was having trouble finding a place to print them that is the kind of quality that I wanted.) So we tried something new. Also something new this year is giving brief updates on what all the 7 Brown children have been doing individually. It was fun, but we had to write all of it in under 1500 words. Anyone that knows me, knows I am not a short sentenced person, but we got it with 4 words to spear, yippee!

School has been keeping me busy this semester. Especially Federal Government class. At this present time I am working on my second project, it is due Thursday. When I say project it is not just a few pieces of paper. My first one was over 30 pages in length, this one is not quite so long thankfully! Another thing I am so thankful for is, that my friend Sarah is in the class with me. We are each others support group and the head "nerds" of the class. The ones that are always sticking to business and trying to answer as many questions as possible. We wear our "nerdiness" with badges of honor! ha ha! I have loved my Ag classes this semester. Have learned so much, sigh, really I just love agriculture! Animal Science is a blast. You know you have been taking that class when your sister Amanda, (9) asks a question as she is working on her Human Health workbook, "What is the digestive system?" and you answer without thinking, "Well there is the Rumen..." oops, I think she was really needing the human side of things! Both of my sisters are doing great, becoming such sweet young ladies!

I only have a few more days of class, finals are coming up and then I have a long Christmas break. I have no idea what God will have me do in that time period, or what I will do next semester. I am praying about that and I will just see where the Lord leads. I have been looking at what classes I need to take, and there are some that will be fun and then there will be some that will be a challenge. Keep me one my knees. =)

My brothers just came in, they have been working so hard lately. The leased wheat pastures are ready for cattle to be turned out. To do so hot wire fences have to be built and cattle re-vaccinated and then turned out. On top of all that it has been cold and the long days can just seem longer for them. We girls try to have hot chocolate and coffee for when they get home. =)

My state of health has been improving these last few weeks. I am so thankful for that. Christmas day will be 2 years since I have been having problems, but through it all God has taught me so much about himself, and I have learned so much about myself through the process.

Well this has been long enough for now, May the Lord bless and Keep each and everyone of you in his loving and caring arms! Please keep blogging as I love to read about what all is going on in each of your lives!

To God Be All Glory Honor And Praise!

*** We Serve a Possible God ***

"The things that are impossible with
men are possible with God.
May it not be that human
impossibilities is just the very
thing that sets His Hand free?"

Lilias Trotter Diary entry, May 22, 1899
from the book "Passion for the Impossible"
by Miriam Huffman Rockness

Our impossibilities are far to numerous to count, but God's possibilities are endless and never bound. If God wills that something will happen it will come to pass. No matter the circumstances that deem it impossible in our eyes, we serve a higher power, A greater God, A Loving Master who has out best interest at heart. Don't bound God and deem a deed impossible ~ The One you serve created Life, Created every single being in this world and then He created the universe itself. Never doubt God's eternal plan, never doubt his will or place he has you at, at this time in history. You were made for a purpose, honour God with yourself. Yourself being your body, your daily tasks, your heart, your mind, your desires ~ all of it should be laid at the masters feet and allow him to do his Possibilities through you, his humble servant, who serves an Awesome God!

Happy Thanksgiving!

May your day leading up be just as special as thanksgiving day. As you look around you & see all the blessings in your life, remember who gave it to you, & how blessed you are to have Jesus in your life!

.:Learning to Ask What:.

Life is amazing, some days you think that life could not get any better and then things happen...pitfalls come and tragedies strike. I guess what sets us apart from the world as Christians is what we do with it. Our decisions on how we are going to handle certain issues. Are we going to look always to the Lord for strength and perseverance, or are we going to grumble, complain, stress out, get depressed, get angry....the list can go on of what our human tendencies are when we don't understand why things happen. Why is it that I am having health problems that are so persistent, why is it that every time I try to encourage others something goes wrong with my computer, why is it that person dislikes me, why...you know I have come to dislike that word. Why. It is a simple word, but when you say it...it seems to always breed discontentment in me. I am trying to stop saying why to God, and say "what" What do you want me to learn from this? What character qualities are your trying to teach me in this situation? I can't say that I have mastered that by any means. I am far from it. But sometimes the first step is the hardest in breaking a habit.

I really do have a habit of saying "why". in the last two years I have had many questions for God, and many of them started with why God, why now, why me, why my health, why so many problems, why so many setbacks, why so many bad days, why so many sick days??? But I have realized that asking why really does not get me anywhere. It just makes me wish things were different when I have not control over it, but I do have control over the ways to look at the problems. I can fall into “why” or I can climb up to “what”. I don't know why but the right thing to do in many situations usually involves a climb. I guess God wants to grant us the satisfaction of a gorgeous view once we reach the summit of the problem we are facing at that moment. Or maybe he knows that those that will make the climb, are really serious about being his daughter or son, and no matter the cost, not matter the sweat, the tears the struggles the pain, we want his blessings in our life! We want to do what is right in his eyes. To live a life that is pleasing unto him, for we know that this life here on earth is not all we are living for. As Christians we have a higher calling, a bigger picture, a greater calling ~ To live a life pleasing unto Christ, to walk the paths of life that he sets before us because we are going to a better place. A place where there is no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears. A place where we can sit as his feet and realize that those little paths we walked down were stepping stones for greater purposes than we could ever imagine. Because we said yes, comes what may I am going to make the best of this situation God has set before me. Because I know that Jesus can see into the future, he can see why I need to learn this today, so that tomorrow I can be able to fulfill the task that God created me to do. To bless this person or to encourage another person. To have the inner strength to conqueror the next mountain for Him.

So the next time you are faced with the option of either saying "why"or "what".I hope you choose “what”. I'm not saying that you will all of the sudden have all your problems dissolve into oblivion, cause I am sorry to say that will ninety-nine percent of the time that will not be the case. But when your realize how small you really are and how big God really is, and come to understand that neither height nor depth, nor principalities, not things present nor things to come can separate you from the Love of God,(Rom.8:38-39) you are encouraged, you are able to look beyond your self. Maybe just for a moment. To be able to look for an instant how God looks at things, and "who" he wants you to become. For it is true that "all things work together for good for them that Love the Lord and are called according to his purpose." Rom. 8:28 Good being in God’s eyes, all we can see today are the temporal things, but God can see the eternal things.

"We are troubled on every side, yet not destressed; we are perplexed but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down but not destroyed." 2 Cor. 4:8-9

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; For the things that are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Cor. 4:18

I know that since Jesus was in a human body he was tempted to look at the temporal things, to ask his father “why”, but He persevered, He took up his cross and died for us, so that we might have eternal life. So that we might one day see him face to face and have him say, "well done my good and faithful servant. Welcome to my house, you have run the race of life, you have persevered with divergence, you have done your best in every thing I asked. Your heart was trying to serve me, even though your flesh was weak. You did your best to look at the eternal things and keep walking no matter what. I am proud of you!"

I have to confess that I am not near there yet...But I am trying, my steps are not even baby steps...they just barely inch along. But I am trying. Actually writing this is inspiring me to keep up, keep fighting, to lean not on my own strength, but on the One who has all the answers, who Loves me unconditionally and wants only the best for me. To look at him and say “what Lord” are you wanting me to do? What are you wanting me to learn? How am I to go about serving you in the midst of this trial. What do you need me to do today? Don't ask “why”, but stand up, pick up the grace that is sufficient for you today and say in Faith, here am I Lord, use me today.
