Would you live for Jesus, and be always pure and good? Would you walk with Him within the narrow road? Would you have Him bear your burden, carry all your load?
Let Him have His way with thee.
Would you have Him make you free, and follow at His call? Would you know the peace that comes by giving all? Would you have Him save you, so that you can never fall? Let Him have His way with thee.
Would you in His kingdom find a place of constant rest? Would you prove Him true in providential test? Would you in His service labor always at your best?
Let Him have His way with thee.
His power can make you what you ought to be; His blood can cleanse your heart and make you free; His love can fill your soul, and you will see ’Twas best for Him to have His way with thee.
Hymn Let Him Have His Way With Thee by Cyrus S. Nusbaum 1898
As I read this hymn this morning its words really made me think, do I LET him have his way with me in every way, in every thing? I do want him to cleanse my heart ane make me free, and I want his love to feel my soul, so I must let him have his way with me! Yes I realize that sometimes his will does not make since to me in my mortal mind, with its human insticts, but My God created everything, and keeps all the stars in their place, the world revolving on its axels, of course he can help me and not let me fall to peices and ruin my life. So today I am going to do my best to let him have his way with me! :)

Billie got to take his first shower today, YAY!!!! He says it was sooooo wonderful. His staples came out yesterday, all 38 of them. Billie was able to be in walking braces today. He says that it was real wierd, they say that it is good for circulation and also keeps his abdominal strength. Billie gave a lesson in Rodeo 101 to all of the occupational therapists. They got a kick out of it.
One therapist was working with an individual that was being a little difficult and the head therapist said, "Come on now, you have to learn how to work with all the patients, not everyone is a Billie Sutton"
Billie is doing a super job with his rehab and is looking forward to Craig. He will fly out of Minneapolis on Thursday at 1:00. He has had such good care and such nice visits from so many wonderful friends. A special thanks to the Corrington's for all of the yummy meals, and good visits. Thanks to everyone while in Minneapolis, we can't tell you enough how much all of your kindness means to us.
Billie's verse today is Philippians 3:13 & 14
Brother's I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Till next time...Dee

Prayer Request for Billie Sutton

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1st. email update:
Dear Friends,
I am emailing all of you today to ask you to pray. Our dear friends Tex and Lois Bennett called today asking for prayers for their nephew Billie Sutton of Burke S.D. He is a pro saddle bronc rider. Friday night he was in Fargo N.D. at a prorodeo and his bronc flipped over with him the chute. It broke his back and he was air lifted to Minneapolis MN. Monday morning, he will have surgery starting at 11oclock. His 11th and 12th vertebras are what is broken and he has no feeling in his legs.
Please keep him in your prayers along with all of his family! We know he grandmother and since he is in rodeo it hits close to home for my family. As most of you know my brother RA rides broncs. So we are all praying for a miracle and that God would choose to heal Billie. As you are all family in the Lord I just wanted everyone we know to join in prayer with the family and friends of this young man. He is in college in Laramie Wyoming. The names of some of his family is, Bill and Renee' Sutton and sister Rheme' and grandmother Betty.
Thank you so much for your prayers and I will let everyone know the results from the surgery as soon as I know anything more.
Walking on Faith,
2nd email update:
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for praying for Billie! All day yesterday, Monday, I thought of him and his family and of all the people that were joining and prayer and asking for His divine touch.Tex Bennett called us last night and this is all the information that I have at the present time.
The surgery went well and his spinal cord is not severed, (praise the Lord!!!) They put in some bone graphs I think, and a titanium rod. The Doctors are not positive that he will walk again but their is hope! He came through surgery fine and the family asked that everyone that has heard about Billie and has been praying, to tell them Thank You! The family said that all 50 states have been recognized in sending up prayers. Wow, the circle of prayers is far reaching and powerful in the Christians of America! :) I will pass on any more information that I receive as I receive it. May the Lord bless all of you! I am going to call later and try to find out more, I just wanted to let everyone know what we had found out.
Because He Lives,
3rd email update:
Dear Friends,
It is amazing how the Lord works and how news can travel so fast when their is a someone in need. :) Here is the information that I have as of tonight, Wednesday the 10th.
I did not know this until today but when the Doctors took the first x-rays and MRI's they said that the spinal cord was severed and the family should just except the fact that Billie would not walk again... but you know the rest of the story! The family believes that the Lord performed a miracle that night and repaired his spinal cord!!! WOW! Our God is truly amazing! :) The incision is from his neck all the way to the base of his spine. The feeling has not come back as of yet, but he is in a great deal of pain. The Doctors had him set up sometime Tuesday and it just added to it. Please continue to lift him up in your prayers for 1) pain relief, 2)for all the feeling to come back into his legs and 3) him to feel all of your prayers and thoughts as he is still in the hospital. I heard that some friends from Oklahoma are going to try to go up sometime this week to see him in MN. He does have a facebook page but I am unable to access it. So if anyone can, please let me know if contains any new information.
I am leaving tomorrow and will be gone until Sunday or Monday. I might be able to update all of you, but I might not be able to have internet access. I will just see. Thank you again for praying and being apart of a MIRACLE! Our God is so good!!!
May God Bless and Keep all of you.
Because He Lives,
Amy
4th update:
Dear Friends and Family,
I am home and finally able to send out a update on what I know about Billie as of today, Wednesday Oct. 17th. I was able to talk to his great uncle and here is what he knows at the present time:
The Doctors stand amazed at the miracle that we prayed for and received! They have gone back and looked at the first MRI and initially it showed that the spinal cord was broken.....wow! Our God is so amazing! A healing did take place and the family knows whom to Thank, the Creator of the world! :)
There is good news as far as the feeling coming back. Before the surgery they had drawn a line at his belly button where his feeling stopped. So far the feeling has spread down to his pocket area. So that is good news! :) Please continue to pray that his feeling will come back completely! There is a special spinal treatment facility near Denver that he plans to go to. The first available appointment is not available until the first of November. Don't stop praying, but lets give thanks!!!!!!!!!
If you are just now getting this email, you can scroll down to the previous emails below.
Please forward this email to those you previously forwarded to, so they can know what the Lord has done! :)
Washed Clean By The Blood Of Christ
I read this today, and it is very sobering. Please read, and it will make you rejoice in the Love that Only Jesus can give! :)
A TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN
17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. "I wowed 'em," he later told his father, Bruce. "It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote.." It also was the last.
Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.
The Moore's framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. "I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it," Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. "I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him."
Brian's Essay: The Room...
In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "Girls I have liked." I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.
This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.
A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I have betrayed." The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I have Given," "Jokes I Have Laughed at ." Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've yelled at my brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.
Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.
When I pulled out the file marked "TV Shows I have watched", I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.
When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.
I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.
Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.
And then I saw it.. The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel with." The handle was brighter than those around it, seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.
And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.
No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.
He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.
Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. "No!" I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No, no," as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, and so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.
He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished." I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."-Phil. 4:13
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
